"Victoria’s former Labor Government costed a dam on the Mitchell River at $1.4 billion, but ruled it out as not green enough. It built instead a desalination plant for $5.7 billion that would produce a third of the water. In Queensland, too, a cheap dam was spurned in favor of a desalination plant that may now be mothballed, following a return of the rains that warmists said would disappear. ..."
