New York City escapes Juno's wrath: 'Worst blizzard in history' fails to live up to hype as forecasters backtrack despite EIGHT states declaring emergencies and cars being banned from cities

Americans were quick to take to Twitter to express their disbelief after waking to find the storm was nowhere near as bad as they had been told.
Steve Keeley wrote: 'Now I know why they named this storm Juno. It's because everyone's asking: 'Hey, Ju-know where the snow is?''
