NOAA claims January-October was the second hottest on record in the US, and that the US is getting much hotter. Their actual thermometer data shows that January-October was sixth
warmest after 2012, 1921, 1934, 1938 and 1998. There has been no
January-October warming over the last 80-90 years. Meanwhile, the frequency of very hot days has plummeted in the US, with 2016 being one of the coolest on record. "
