"Carbon (Dioxide) trading is now the fastest growing commodities market on earth.....And here’s the great thing about it. Unlike traditional commodities markets, which will eventually involve delivery to someone in physical form, the carbon (dioxide) market is based on lack of delivery of an invisible substance to no-one. Since the market revolves around creating carbon (dioxide) credits, or finding carbon (dioxide) reduction projects whose benefits can then be sold to those with a surplus of emissions, it is entirely intangible." This blog has been tracking the 'Global Warming Scam' for over ten years now. There are a very large number of articles being published in blogs and more in the MSM who are waking up to the fact the public refuse to be conned any more and are objecting to the 'green madness' of governments and the artificially high price of energy. This blog will now be concentrating on the major stories as we move to the pragmatic view of 'not if, but when' and how the situation is managed back to reality. To quote Professor Lindzen, "a lot of people are going to look pretty silly"

Wheels of the global warming gravy train are oiled

Andrew Bolt,Herald Sun (Australia)
"The warming may have stopped a decade ago, but nothing will stop this government from spending on its warming faith:

AUSTRALIA has fast tracked money to help African countries adapt to climate change, the federal government announced at climate talks in Durban.

Climate Change Minister Greg Combet.... announced $25 million towards helping African nations manage water resources, boost food security and climate-proof agriculture.

Meanwhile, scepticism about this massive gravy train is fast rising in Britain:

The British Social Attitudes survey shows that in 2000 43% of the population would pay “much higher prices” for “the sake of the environment”. Last summer support fell to just 26%, with the poorest sections of society most reluctant to save the planet with their cash.

Over the same period the public has become much more sceptical about the science behind climate change. In 2010 37% said many claims about environmental threats were “exaggerated”, up from 24% in 2000
.

And the heat has gone out of the alarmism here, too:

BRISBANE residents yesterday shivered through the city’s coldest December day in 123 years, while Sydney has recorded its iciest start to summer in 51 years…

Perth recorded its wettest December day in 28 years on Tuesday."
