As much to very partially make up for their supine and stupid support for the ETS, as for the now greater damage it would cause if implemented… "

These people have indeed had the access to the mainstream media that I have, and rarely face the challenges and hostile scrutiny that is given to, say, Lord Monckton, by ABC shows such ... well, Media Watch. I mean, when did the ABC ever fact-check the error-prone serial exaggerator Al Gore, as it has repeatedly tried with Monckton? ......How, after such an overwhelming media dominance by warmists, could the public suddenly become so sceptical? It can’t just be me, essentially a Victorian journalist. It can’t be the report-both-side Australian, which isn’t a big seller out in voterland. And even Alan Jones doesn’t have the audience that ABC collective can muster....Surely it must have a lot to do with the weakness of the warmists’ science and the failure of their predictions so far to come to pass? That, I believe, is the real reason for the rise in scepticism. After all, it’s exactly this that’s given me so much material, and left the hordes so powerless to shout me down. "

Scientists say IPCC should be overhauled or scrapped

"Writing today in the journal Nature, five US, British, German and Swiss climate scientists - all contributing or lead IPCC report authors - agreed a mechanism for assessing the facts and impacts of climate change was critical. ....According to Mike Hulme, from Britain's University of East Anglia, the structure and process of the IPCC has passed its sell-by date. "The IPCC is no longer fit for the purpose," he wrote in Nature.In Australia, Barry Brook, the director of climate change research at Adelaide University, agreed, saying: "I wouldn't be disturbed if there wasn't ever another IPCC report, provided we replaced it with something more timely, concise and relevant to policy makers," he said."

It does not question Gore’s hype, his falsehoods or his blatant conflict of interest.Lord Monckton is brought to Australia by two retired businessman, one an environmental scientist, to counter the hype and panic unleashed by Gore. This time many in the media vilify him for his looks (the symptom of Graves disease), refuse to cover his actual arguments, report ironic jokes as serious lies, and in various other ways disgrace their profession.
